The Dhokra Craft Cluster in Kishanganj, Bihar, has begun a 15-day intensive Training and Product Development workshop focused on product diversification using cotton, introducing azo-free dyeing, and learning new techniques like extra weft pick-up weaving. This initiative is part of the WomenArt program’s broader mission to diversify product offerings and build artisan capacity for national and international markets. Through this workshop, artisans are developing new product lines such as bags, runners, placemats, and pouches while learning practical skills that will enable them to fulfill larger buyer orders in the future.
